Building an online business has taught me so much about time management, creativeness, persistence, and connecting with others. I believe what I have learned is the reason I am so successful, and you can learn these things very easily to apply to your own business.

For more than twenty years I worked for others. They told me when to begin each day, what my duties were, and what was expected of me. There was very little room for flexibility. I became accustomed to following directions and doing as I was told.

Once I became an entrepreneur, everything in my life changed. I was responsible for deciding what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. This was not an easy transition for me. I found myself looking for things to occupy my mind and my time, and my business went nowhere.

One year after I started my online business I became ill. I was also running out of money very rapidly. I knew that if things didn't change I was in danger of losing my home. One day I wrote day what I intended to do to change my situation. It involved taking action on a daily basis, managing my time very closely, promising myself that I would never, ever give up, and reaching out to others to work together in mutually beneficial ways.

Within 30 days I began to make money. Everything seemed to change. My health improved, and I joked that I simply could not be sick because there was no time for it in my schedule! I now experience the joys and rewards of being an internet entrepreneur and help others to do the same thing.
